Holidays in Mallorca!
I'd never thought I'd do sth like this....and...to be honest, I hope I'll never do again (although I really appreciated it there)...
But "Pauschaltourism" and not even TRYING to get into the local culture (instead forcing local people to speak your home language!!!!)...this is not my stuff...
Next time,I'll be on an adventure trip again.
Despite of the whole bunch of 65-year-old Germans....I enjoyed the time being there.
Besides of getting tanned on the beach of Paguera, Ania and me took some time to...
- visit major city Palma
-have a trip around the beautiful westcoast (stunning cliffs e.g. Formentor, nice villages such as Valldemosa and Fornalutx, pine forests...)
- visit some caves (stalagnits &stalagtits,-) and the Eastcoast...
- discover what the "Ballermann 6" really means (not as drunk as I imagined it to be)
...;-) visit the soccer stadium ...see other post,-)

oder auch nicht!
Nach einem echt coolen Freitagnachmittag (Grillen mit dem kompletten Brady-Personal), ein völlig missratener Samstag nachmittag.
Regen ohne Ende...und vor allem ein 3:3 nach 3:0 Führung auswärts in Nord-Lüdenscheid.
Scheiss BSE! Aber vor allem auch Scheiss Schalke. NIE Deutscher Meister eben...
Zum Glück ein schöner Abend mit einer letzten Besucherin in Lille.
Diesmal Ania, eine eh. Studienkollegien aus Frankreich, gerade auf dem Heimweg von Manchester gen Polen...bzw. ,-) gerade auf dem Weg nach Deutschland...um von dort...in den Urlaub zu fliegen. Auf jeden Fall echt lustig drauf die Eltern!

Truc de ouf cette braderie de Lille,
2.000.000 de personnes qui flannent dans les rues de Lille pour vendre (ou acheter) de la merde, de la bouffe ou des trucs superantiques...
Quand même bien, surtout les concerts gratuits, le soleil, le repas des moules frites avec le groupe de couchsurfing...et...bien évidemment la visite de Katrin.

29-31 08 2008 Passion football

A bit more than 3 months after my last game in the stadium a "fully football" weekend ,-)
Friday evening, 2nd League in France with a game of RSC Lens vs Clermont Foot.
Impressing 30,000 spectators in the Stade Felix Bollaert.
Great atmosphere, an amazing goal from Kevin Monnet-Paquet 10 minutes before the end to give Lens the 2:1 victory....
2nd time in this stadium...and not the last time!!! This is passion football...
2 days later, only 40km more north....the 19th of League 1, Lille OSC is facing Bordeaux in th Stadium Nord in Villeneuve d'Ascq...
As the new stadium for Lille is still under construction, Lille currently plays 10kms outside of Lille in this very old "non football" stadium. Nevertheless...great Sunday afternoon as the game provides me again with all the great things of a soccer game.
1) A good performance of the home team
2) The lead for the other team
3) An equalizer in the 2nd half
4) Some strange decisions of the refereee
5) RAIN!!!! Yes...for this I really LOVE the old stadiums !!! Nothing can make a whole stadium move more than rain
6) A late victory ...2:1 for Lille

About 13,000 spectators, one block in the stadium with a great support for 100 minutes!!
This is passion football!!!!

PS: By the way...in the meantime...after the visit from Corinna & Dana on Wednesday, Saturday to Sunday Alexandre showing up in beautiful Lille for a party night. HipHooray!!

WE SAB!!!

Schön, dass die Franzosen mehr Feiertage haben als wir Deutschen. Zumindest wenn man gerade in Frankreich arbeitet ,-)
Und schön auch, gute Freunde wiederzusehen. Nach 25 Monaten Kontakt per Email und per Telephon endlich wieder Sabrina in live. Das schöne Wetter mit nach Lille gebracht am Freitag eine Visite nach Gent in Belgien mit Schloß Gravensteen. Samstag dann Vieux Lille erkunden, le musée d’art contemporaine…zu Tode fürchten bei Batman-The Dark Knight und abschliessend Paaaaty in Lille’s boites.

09- 10 08 2008 Bonn

Second return “home” to Germany after the journey to Düsseldorf-Aachen-Düren 2 weeks ago for the 80th birthday of my grandma. This time a very very nice weekend in Bonn, together with Fania. Hiking up the “Drachenfelsberg” in Königswinter, jumping crazily to the beats of Jan Delay & Disco No1 and just enjoying the “Rhein” and its park in sunny Bonn.Of course not to forget the “Melodien für Millionen” –part of the museum for German history. Biene Maja and Wolle Petry rockt!!!
