Worldtour diary- Part 3

DIARY PART III. 17th Oct – 7th of November 2006

Apparently I love the figure 7.
After my first mail on the 7th of Oct, the second of the 17th Oct...now my third part of my world tour diary on the 7th of November.
What happened in the last 3 weeks...
Although I haven´t hopped through such a load of images as before, I don´t know where to start.
Arriving in Arequipa, the "white town" of Peru (and for me definetely on of the nicest), I did not only see condors in the deepest canyon of the world (from 3700 to 1100m)..no, I "showed off" once again by hiking an official 2 day-trip through the canyon in even not half of the suggested time...
Some more recording breaking?
Ok, traveling from Arequipa to Cusco "the tourist town" made me spend 17 hours on 1 day in the bus...
I´m sure it will be topped, cos the flight prices of Brasil do not seem to fit my budget...
Whatever...
Then CUSCO...most of the travelers call it the nicest town of the world...for me...its just "the party town".
Having not spend any time in bars/ clubs before...Cusco ment EVERY DAY PARTYING in the Mama Africa...once again containing some new experiences for me.
At least I can say now I´ve seen people fucking on the dancefloor, fingering each other...hm...yes...I think this wasn´t the reason for which I wanted to meet some travelers.
So, I did it once again a bit more "local", spending my days with 3 Peruvian girls and one Peruvian guy, visiting the ruins of the Sacred Vally, partying...letting my camera get stolen, buying a new one on the black market.
But...as best things only happen to you when you´re completely on your own...I finally managed to be the only white not only on the local football match...but...at least I think so...the only white stripping on the stage of a radio festival.
NICE!!!
Not enough action? Allright...doing some 3 day rafting near Cusco and then "power vomiting and in-your-trousers-shitting" on Isla Amantani on the Lake Titikaka. Finally...leaving Peru after 5 wonderful weeks and getting to know the Sun Island on the other (Bolivian) side of the Lake Titicaca, the highest navigeable lake in the world..
Last but not least I arrived in the highest capital of the world...in order to break some new records.
Some 6000er mountains are awaiting me...the highest stadium in the world ...the most dangerous road in the world...and ...already terribly excited THE JUNGLE!!!!
So...as I suppose internet connection won´t be to good in the jungle, it could take a little bit more time to get some updates.
Hopefully then as well some new pictures with a new digital camera.
So long,
speak to you soon

Jochen
